Why should I take part in market research?

Every single day of the week, you use or experience products and services that have been through the market research process, from your kitchen utensils to your train journey to work. It’s difficult to sell a badly designed or unappealing product, which is why paid market research is so important for finding out what people do and don’t like. There are various ways to take part in market research, from meeting people face-to-face in focus groups to taking part in online communities to surveys, so there is something that will suit everyone.

But how will I benefit?

Paid market research isn’t a one-way street, and you, the participant, should get as much out of it as the company you are helping will. Your opinion can really help to influence the products that you use regularly, an experience that is particularly exciting if it’s something that you really care about. For example, if you’re a bit of a tech lover, trying out the latest gadgets and giving your opinion on them could help to shape their future.

It’s a great feeling to know that your thoughts and opinions really count. Whether you would enjoy taking part in lively group discussions or would like to earn some extra cash from home by filling in online questionnaires or surveys, there will be a way for you to get involved.

Focus Groups 300x200 - Why should I take part in market research?

Shape the future of products you love

Whilst some paid market research studies will require you to meet with a group and take part in a discussion, others can happen in the comfort of your own home, such as online focus groups and online communities.

This means there is often the opportunity to really get to grips with a product and experience it as part of your day-to-day life. The areas of market research that we work within are very diverse and some recent topics have included health and fitness, fashion, technology and food and drink, so you could end up trying out a brand new blender or getting to grips with a brand new app. We always try to fit the people who apply to take part in market research with us to the right study, meaning that you’ll get the maximum enjoyment from taking part.

Earn some extra money

Another excellent reason to take part in market research is the financial incentive. As outlined here, your opinions are incredibly important to all sorts of companies and they are prepared to make taking part worth your while.  Depending on the time the research takes you could take home anything between £40 and £200 in cash or vouchers, which will hopefully be the icing on the cake after you’ve had an enjoyable experience taking part in the research. You will always know what you are going to receive from the outset and we guarantee you’ll be properly rewarded for your involvement.
