Taking part in paid research can be a great way to let the big brands know what you really think about their products and services (and also upcoming products!). When it comes to paid research, there are loads of different ways that you can get involved, one of these being interviews in your home.

What is an in-home interview?

In-home interviews aren’t as scary as they sound! Basically, they are discussions that take place in the comfort of your own home between you and a researcher (or small team of researchers).

They aren’t designed to be intrusive. In-home interviews provide brands with a better understanding of you and your views in your everyday environment. Brands might find this paid research method particularly useful if they are looking at how you interact with products in your home and why you use them on a daily basis.

How long do they take?

Of course the length of each in-home interview is unique to each project, but generally, they don’t last too long. In-home interviews can last between 1-3 hours, depending on how much information the researchers need from you.

Taking part in paid research also provides you with a platform to get your thoughts and feelings to big brands about their products. Not only that, but your opinion could shape the future of a brand or product!

What do I get for taking part?

You will be incentivised for taking part in an in-home interview which could be in the form of cash, a bank transfer or gift certificates. The amount of incentive you would receive would be dependent on the amount of time required from you but generally, you would receive between £50 and £100.
