Meet the team: Five minutes with Brianna

We’re thrilled to introduce Brianna, one of our incredible Project Administrators here at Angelfish Opinions.

We couldn’t do what we do without our amazing team behind us, and we love highlighting them so you can get to know them better.

Hi Brianna! To kick us off, why did you decide to pursue a career in market research?

I studied criminology and sociology and loved learning about research methodologies, and this interest only grew during my dissertation and through conducting my own research. I sort of stumbled upon a career in market research, and I felt it was something that would be a good fit for me.

What’s your favourite part of the job here at Angelfish Opinions?

I think it has to be speaking to our respondents on the phone when we validate them for our research studies. Our community is filled with so many lovely people, often I have the best conversations about different brands during our validation calls. They really brighten my day!

Tell us about an interesting project you’ve recently worked on and why you enjoyed it?

It would have to be our recent research project on virtual reality and accessibility needs. It was so interesting speaking to individuals with a range of accessibility needs and communicating with my team about their needs/accommodations and being able to make sure this study was accessible to all.

The client for this study was lovely and accommodating for all needs, which really showed me how that should be the blueprint for all market research. The more accessible, the better!

What about a challenge you’ve recently faced and how you solved it?

A recent challenge has been adapting to the fast-paced nature of market research. Each day is so different; you never know what gets thrown your way!

I’m still learning how to organise my day effectively to make sure everything is prioritised in an efficient way. It’s an ongoing learning experience, but I’ve learned the best thing to do is to stay in communication with the team to make sure nothing slips through. Communication is key!

What are your professional goals for the next year?

To continue to develop within my role and build my self-confidence through learning more about the industry and seeking out additional training and webinars.

And how about the next market research industry trend?

It may have been said already but anything regarding artificial intelligence (AI)! I think AI is going to become integral for brand growth and keeping track of consumer insights. AI, alongside neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), will really transform the industry going forward.

Who inspires you and why? 

Oh, that’s a tough one! I think it’s a split between two: firstly, my mother, who is one of the most kind and caring people I know. No matter what is thrown her way she takes it in her stride, and she makes the best out of any situation.

And then there’s also my colleagues – I really admire their work ethic and mindsets and they always make my day enjoyable!
