How do Angelfish incentives work?

We reward participants for taking part in our market research projects. Incentives are managed on a project-by-project basis, and the payment method and timing will always be clearly explained before you take part.

Below are answers to the most common questions we receive about incentives. If there’s anything we haven’t covered, please contact us at info@angelfish-opinions.com and we’ll be happy to help.

1. How will I receive my incentive?

Incentives are paid in different ways depending on the project.

Most commonly, incentives are paid by Angelfish via Giftpay. In some cases, incentives may instead be:

  • Paid directly by Angelfish via BACS
  • Paid by our client, for example via BACS, Ayda, or an eGift card

The payment method for your incentive will always be stated on the project you take part in, so you’ll know in advance how you’ll be rewarded.

2. When will I receive my incentive?

Each project will clearly state its payment window.

For example, a project may specify that incentives will be paid within 2–3 weeks from the date you complete your research session.

3. Where can I spend my incentive?

This depends on the type of incentive you receive.

If you receive a Giftpay voucher:

Giftpay vouchers can be exchanged for a wide range of popular high-street brands and online retailers. Options include (but are not limited to):

  • Amazon
  • Costa
  • IKEA
  • John Lewis
  • Marks & Spencer
  • Tesco

The list of available retailers may change from time to time. You can view the current full list of Giftpay eGift options on the Giftpay website.

Different retailers offer different spend increments. For example, if you receive a £50 Giftpay voucher, you could choose to split it across multiple brands — such as £20 at Marks & Spencer, £25 on Deliveroo and £5 at Costa — depending on the options available at the time.

4. What if my incentive isn’t a Giftpay voucher?

If your incentive is paid via BACS or issued directly by a client, the project details will explain:

  • How the payment will be made
  • Any information you need to provide
  • When you can expect to receive it
